Laboratory and research
As a research and development centre, our partner has become the Lubuski Ośrodek Innowacji i Wdrożeń Agrotechnicznych, which is supervised by the University of Zielona Góra.
The laboratory’s main areas of activity are focused on work for the agri-food sector. The professional equipment of the facilities makes it possible to carry out many innovative studies that can be successfully implemented in companies.
The laboratory part of the Centre enables quantitative and qualitative analysis of the composition and microbiological safety of raw materials, semi-finished products and final products.
The Centre’s analytical capabilities, in terms of physicochemical, biochemical and microbiological determinations, make it possible to perform almost the full spectrum of determinations required by standards and other procedures related to the quality control of dietary supplements.
Each batch of product that leaves our facility is fully documented:
– product specification
– microbiological testing
– testing for heavy metals
– storage testing, concerning the shelf life of the product.
Physical and chemical tests
Gas and liquid chromatography laboratory: gas chromatographs (GC, GC/MS) equipped with FID and ECD detectors and a NIST library for rapid analysis of complex mixtures of volatile compounds and for assessing their purity (analysis of fatty acids, aromas from food products)
Nutritional testing
They allow manufacturers to assure consumers that their products contain the right amount of amino acids, fatty acids, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and other important nutrients.
Microbiological testing of food
They are among the most important because they guarantee, above all, the health safety of the product at every stage of food production and marketing. The laboratory offers analyses of semi-finished products and foodstuffs as well as environmental samples. The analyses carried out are aimed, among other things, at confirming the microbiological purity, health safety or shelf life of the samples tested.
Microbiological testing of water
In particular, it checks for the presence of organisms that can cause poisoning, even in small quantities (e.g. gram-negative Salmonella or mycobacteria). During this type of analysis, attention is also paid to how many mesophilic and psychrophilic bacteria are present per millilitre of water.
